登革熱是由登革病毒引起的急性病毒性疾病，主要是通過(guò)蚊蟲(chóng)叮咬在人群當(dāng)中傳播，這種疾病主要廣泛流行于熱帶和亞熱帶的100多個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)，輸入性病例仍然是中國(guó)登革熱的主要原因。
2014年中國(guó)登革熱疫情較往年早而且較為嚴(yán)重。
主要原因：
一是中國(guó)和東南亞國(guó)家人員的來(lái)往越來(lái)越頻繁，2014年部分東南亞國(guó)家登革熱疫情明顯上升，導(dǎo)致中國(guó)的輸入性病例有所增加，在蚊媒?jīng)]有得到有效控制的地區(qū)容易引起疾病的傳播和擴(kuò)散；
二是2014年南方的一些省份天氣較熱，雨水較多，適宜蚊媒的生長(zhǎng)，蚊媒的密度明顯升高；
三是登革熱的傳染源是登革熱患者、隱性感染者和登革熱病毒感染的非人靈長(zhǎng)類動(dòng)物以及帶毒的媒介伊蚊，疫情高發(fā)地區(qū)傳染源持續(xù)大量存在。并且，登革熱患者大多數(shù)癥狀輕，部分患者因認(rèn)識(shí)不夠，未及時(shí)就診，導(dǎo)致疫情傳播擴(kuò)散的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)進(jìn)一步提高。
