Cy5 NHS ester is a reactive dye for the labeling of amino-groups in peptides, proteins, and oligonucleotides.
Cy5 NHS ester can replace NHS esters of Alexa Fluor 647, DyLight 649.
This dye requires organic co-solvent （such as DMF, or DMSO） be used in labeling reaction. Water-soluble Cy5 NHS ester is also available.

Solubility: Good in organic solvents （DCM, chloroform, DMF, DMSO, MeCN, alcohols）, poor in water
