4 platinum/tungsten cores, quartz insulated for TREC Microdrives / for other applications

Thomas RECORDING (TREC) has developed a unique 4-cores quartz-platinum/tungsten microelectrode (tetrode). This tetrode is superior to any other tetrode technique presently available on the market. A special developed manufacturing technique allows a tetrode manufacture with a high degree of reproducibility of the metal contact spacing. The TREC tetrode offers an outstanding signal-to-noise ratio of the recorded multi-unit-signal and a very good tetrode effect.
The tetrode is used by leading neuroscientists all over the world in neurophysiological (see for example) and clinical applications.
