The Small Angle Light Scattering (SALS) system enables the simultaneous determination of structural information and rheological data. Purely rheological methods provide information on the macroscopic behavior of the samples. That means a rheometer can be used to determine macroscopic material functions. However, the macroscopic behavior of a substance is strongly dependent on its microscopic structural parameters. Information on the microstructure is often helpful for a better understanding of the rheological behavior.
