少數(shù)種在營(yíng)養(yǎng)菌絲表面覆極薄的一層氣生菌絲枝—子實(shí)體或孢子絲。孢子絲直形、個(gè)別種呈鉤狀或螺旋，具橫隔膜。以橫隔分裂形成孢子，孢子桿狀、柱形兩端截平或橢圓形等。菌落外貌與結(jié)構(gòu)多樣，一般比鏈霉菌菌落小，表面崎嶇多皺，致密干燥，一觸即碎，或者為面團(tuán)；有的種菌落平滑或凸起，無(wú)光或發(fā)亮呈水浸狀。此屬多為好氣性腐生菌，少數(shù)為厭氣性寄生菌。能同化各種碳水化合物，有的能利用碳?xì)浠衔?、纖維素等。諾卡氏菌主要分布于土壤?，F(xiàn)已報(bào)導(dǎo)100余種，能產(chǎn)生30多種抗生素。如對(duì)結(jié)核分枝桿菌和麻瘋分枝菌有放線菌放線菌*的利福霉素，對(duì)引起植物白葉枯病的細(xì)菌，以及原蟲(chóng)、病毒有作用的間型霉素，對(duì)革蘭氏陽(yáng)性細(xì)菌有作用的瑞斯托菌素等。另外，有此諾卡氏菌用于石油脫蠟、烴類發(fā)酵以及污水處理中分解腈類化合物。放線菌屬放線菌屬(Actinomyces)放線菌屬多為致病菌，只有營(yíng)養(yǎng)菌絲，直徑小于1微米，有橫隔，可斷裂成"V"形或"Y"形體。無(wú)氣生菌絲，也不形成孢。一般為厭氣菌或兼性厭氣菌。
